Forget about a pitcher I'm drinking out of a big ole KEG. I admit that I did not think he could be successful at Mizzou because I did not think he could recruit. He has won me over. He was able to retain Fuller and Tibaldi, win over Gant and Wright, bring in three more recruits very late in the recruiting game, hire a potential super recruiter in Fulford who had a relationship with Fuller, hired the x-Spurs strength trainer. He has put himself in a position to take Tiger basketball to new heights. Hopefully his hiring will bring together the fan base to come out and support Mizzou BBall.

Quin and Haith in his last two seasons had problems because of a lack of ball handlers. KA has addressed that potential problem immediately. Fuller no longer has the Haith NCAA cloud hanging over him and Fulford appears to be connected to high profile kids from all over the country. KA has a strong young base to build on. So far the cool aid tastes great!

Agree, not much to add to that, and you certainly can't fault the guy for being a Norm product and True Son. All that's left really is to see the game on the floor, and remind ourselves it could still take a few years to get things going strong.

It seems that Kim is just the hard working, straight shooter that knows the game and just happens to be one of our own, I've never understood why there was any real grievance for hiring him in the first place.

Mainly because his resume does not include the words "Final Four". I'm more excited about our basketball team each day.

I don't trust things that seem too good to be true. I'm a Mizzou fan.

But with KA I'm getting there.

Well, that sounds just like a Mizzou fan. I believe you.

I'm with you kilo. I need to see results on the court before I'm drinking this particular flavor of kool-aid.

Ultimately, that's what it will all be about, but with the tasks he has faced, I think he's done a pretty damn good job.

Agree with the KA thoughts. But the results are what I want. Looking good off the court is a positive though.

I don't pretend to know all the politics, but Norm was pushed out and whoever did the pushing wanted a clean break. The revolving door since then has apparently made Kim look more attractive by comparison.

as opposed to the last 3 coaches?

Ignoring the rumors about certain big donors whose kids played hoops at MU driving the Snyder hire, I've been greatly unimpressed w/ Aldens management of the situation.

He was lucky that Pinkel had an inordinate amount of time to turn around football because of the situation it was left in, but nobody should think that's the case about basketball.

For our sake I truly hope he has finally struck gold after striking out 3 times.

He did. But I give KA props so far. For each "challenge" he's faced so far, I'd give him an A. Obviously, the most important "challenge" will be the play on the court, but I can't hold that against him if he hasn't had the opportunity to face that "challenge" yet. I'm optimistic because the on-court/game stuff was supposed to be his strength. It's this off the court stuff that he was supposed to struggle with.

That was expected, as it was his only "known" quality. None of us expected KA to recruit.

Vanilla ice cream isn't sexy compared to Haagen Daz.

But Alden finally realized it's the essential ingredient in a good root beer float.
