Which gender is more shallow? Men or women?

Some(perhaps most) women present the idea that men are overwhelmingly attracted to the physical characteristics of the opposite gender first and fore-most while placing very little emphasis on the personality aspects(and other associated life-bound aspects such as net worth and general accomplishments).

But are women really any different? Are men really that superficial?

For example, how many men excused the actions of Casey Anthony and/or Elizabeth Johnson due to attractiveness.

Meanwhile many women overwhelmingly swoon over real-life villains such as:

Boston Marathon Bomber

Jeremy Meeks

Is this a generational thing?

Ted Bundy says no.

If women/girls are more inclined to look past the physical characteristics of a man in favor of his internal characteristics(or at least more-so than the opposite gender) than why does history and present time show women/girls unable to differentiate that physical attractiveness can often contrast with true nature of that person.

I blame it on Disney.

I don't know that many excused it as much as they just participated in a WYHI thread.

I will say both sexes can be shallow, but it's directed in different ways. Women can be incredibly shallow when judging other women (hence the old adage that women dress for other women) and are just as guilty for building that unattainable standard as men are. Men can be shallow when judging women, but sometimes it's a front IMO.

What it all boils down to is whether we like it or not, physical appearance will always be a factor for people when selecting a significant other. Some people have different standards for what they think is attractive, but there's still a standard. Now I will say that I think men will talk a lot of shite about what their standard is but their track record will show otherwise.

They're both equally shallow, but both genders are simply shallow about different things. Guys, it's all about physical appearance 1st, attitude/personality a distant second. For women, it's mostly about attitude 1st, and physical appearance/money 2nd.

I'll be totally honest here. Here are 4 things I look for in a women. Other men might think differently than I do though.

1. Looks
2. Looks
3. Looks
4. Personality

I'm talking first impressions. It's hard for her to know you're rich right off the bat unless you're famous (a whole different thing). Women will go for the broke dick alpha every time over the wealthy beta (or at least bang the broke dick alpha on the side after marrying the wealthy beta). The caveat being that a ton of wealth often gives guys the confidence to have that alpha attitude around women. However, it's not the money that they are first attracted to, it's the attitude.

The ladder theory explains your question perfectly. It's really not a shallowness thing.

I would give Casey Anthony the full extent of my law and serve justice all over her face.

I lol'd.

Anyways ... women can be just as superficial as men when it comes to choosing a sex partner, but when it comes to marrying they are more attracted to men who might provide them with security and stability.

At the same time, women are usually much better liars than men and they ate much better at denying and deflection management than men.

I'm not a mysoginist, but I've seen it all. Two wives (still married to my last), three grown daughters, two granddaughters, two sisters, four grown nieces, three goddaughters, a girlfriend and a mother.

They're all nuts. Sorry Mom.

Women have changed, in this country, over the past fifty years especially. And the country has changed for the worse in the process unfortunately.

We should have never given them the right to vote. It was game over for this country and the family structure, religion, balanced budgets, private clubs, etc., the day we let them drop their first ballot.

I'm a big fan of lesbian porn though.

Yes, because our right to vote totally ruined everything. And men haven't changed either.

I am curious as to what you think is so wrong with women today and what your ideal is on how we should conduct ourselves?

Women are just as shallow when it comes to physical appearance. I don't see many attractive women dating fat or ugly men who are nice and have good personalities.

Really? I see that all the time. fat/ugly dudes will always have a better shot at a hot chick than fat/ugly girls will for a handsome guy. It's just science. I know, because I'm a fat/ugly guy dating a hot girl(I'm not really fat anymore but I was when we started dating).

The tired cliche of fat comedians with hot wives in sitcoms may seem ridiculous, but in the real world, there are plenty of ugly/fat guys with smokin' hot wives for seemingly no good reason.
