What the hell is going on with A&M and Jalen Bates

Apparently Sumlin offered him a scholarship, but told him he had to jump on it or risk losing his offer for the #2 DE on their board.
Bates didn't jump on it, so now Taylor Hammbone says the offer no longer exist.
Now he apparently can commit at a different time

Bates didn't jump on it, so now Taylor Hammbone says the offer no longer exist.

hamm is just making it really complicated. this is how I understand it
"hey Jalen, we have this spot to fill and you are at the top of our list. we want it filled right now"
