Absolutely no offense in Omaha. I know it's brutally boring to watch, but right now, I don't care! It's exactly the kind of ballpark and tournament that gives our small-ball approach the best chance.

We've actually hit the ball pretty well here in Omaha. In terms of small ball, there are several teams that made it to Omaha that rely on it much more than we do.

It is because none of the teams in the CWS have a five tool player

I really hope the new balls help next year.

Yep - great pitching will do that. The 4 starting pitchers for Virginia's 2 games and TCU's 2 games started 70 games this year between them and the 4 gave up 10 HRs all year. That's 1 HR per 7 games if my math is right.

College baseball is certainly a different game these days, and parks like TD ameritrade and Hoover just exaggerate it.

It takes small ball to a whole new level.

It is sort of a bummer watching the bottom of an extra inning game knowing there is basically no threat of a walk off home run.

I am a TCU fan and went to bed last night after the 9th inning was over. My response was "frick this shite"

DGAF who won

So who do y'all start Thursday? I would imagine y'all went through some arms in that one last night? Great game by the way

We all know this is because the NCAA confiscated all the juiced bats.

I heard a good stat though. The last CWS at Rosenblatt, there were 45 HRs. We have yet to get there with all the CWS games combined at TD Ameritrade.

NCAA needs to make some changes.

The weakest team in the tourney won the title last year because of the park. Their strategy was to grove fastballs all day long because they knew 99.9% of the time they would end up being long fly outs, and they were right. That's not how baseball is meant to be played. I'm all for small ball in the right situations but pitchers should be punished for leaving the ball over the middle of the plate all night long.
