Doesn't look like it will hurt them too badly. Any more info Mizzou fans?

They were currently fourth on the depth chart for their respective positions....one hadn't played a down for Mizzou and the other only played a few before he was hurt for the year. I don't think it's a big deal at all, but you never know.

Take it from a Georgia fan, don't underestimate depth.

Payton(defensive back) had season ending surgery and had been passed up by more than one person on the depth chart. In addition to that, Mizzou has brought in a ton of depth in the backfield in the classes behind him and Payton probably wasn't in the plans for the future at all.
Osborne(defensive tackle) was a last minute add to our class a couple years ago when we missed out on others. He was seen as a work in progress, though I did like some of what I saw from tape of his play in scrimmages/drills. Given the numbers that we already have in his class at the position, he also probably either saw the writing on the wall or was politely informed of what it said.
Wish them the best.

I hear ya, but in Osborne's "class" at DT we already have 2 seniors, 4 sophomores and 3 or 4 in his freshman class (depending on which move outside to DE).
With Payton, we have 2 sophomore starters at corner who played as RS freshman and as a true freshman. 2 juniors backing them up and 1 RSF and 2 true freshmen who in normal years would compete for time. That doesn't include the other 3 or 4 who are there trying to sort out a position in the backfield. It would have taken 6 or 7 injuries before Payton saw the field and that wasn't going to change this year or next year, his senior season.

Yup, it's only been a year since we had that issue and the DT position is one we have badly needed some depth at. If Hoch and Vincent make it through the season without missing some games due to injury I will eat my underwear.
The inside scoop hasn't come out yet, if they had grade and or drug test issues or whatever that's a different deal, but the usual fans talking how it can't possibly hurt are talking out their azz.

Two 2-star players who are respectively 4th on the depth chart at their position. The Tigers have 9 DTs on their depth chart and Osbourne was no higher than 8th and he's the bigger loss of the two.

Osborne was behind Vincent, Hoch, Brantley, Augusta, Winston, Logan, and Crawford. Payton is the bigger loss. We like to have a bigger CB to match up on bigger WRs, and he was doing well before he got hurt last season.
