I'm mainly speaking on the BIG opponent each SEC team is facing, not the cupcakes... To avoid confusion, I will list the hardest out-of-conference opponent on the schedule for each team unless they don't play a single one (will be listed as "cupcake").

Auburn, Kansas State
Alabama, West Virginia
Ole Miss, Boise State
Georgia, Clemson
South Carolina, Clemson
Arkansas, Texas Tech
Texas A&M, Cupcakes
LSU, Wisconsin
Mississippi State, Cupcakes
Tennessee, Oklahoma
Kentucky, Louisville
Vanderbilt, Cupcakes
Florida, Florida State
Mizzou, Central Florida

Now, in theory, just looking through the games...it seems like the SEC should win the majority of these games (cupcakes not included). I see only three games that should be a definite losses for the SEC, and that is Oklahoma over Tennessee, Florida State over Florida, and Louisville over Kentucky. It seems like some big teams were put on schedule, but they just might not be that tough this year.

Clemson lost all of their play-makers, Kansas State's 2nd team is on par with their 1st team, West Virginia is just weak, Wisconsin will be no match for LSU, Central Florida will come down from their 2013 high, Boise State isn't the same Boise State of old, and Texas Tech has a terrible defense.

Agree or disagree?

I guess the real options are Oklahoma, Louisville or Florida State.

No others should be in contention...

Kansas State doesn't need to be on here.

Why not?

Is there a harder out-of-conference opponent on Auburn's schedule?

Yeah, it's Florida and not close.

FSU is defending national champ and viewed by most as the best team in the country going into next year as well. They may have been a historically good team last year, but only faced one other great team, AU.

None of the others are likely to make the playoffs. Oklahoma is not even a top ten team. They just play a bunch of sorry teams so should win a lot. Like Ohio state every year.

And I feel bad for Arky. Last time they faced Kliff they gave up 58 points.

I wouldn't go that far. OU has solid teams. They'll kick your arse if you don't take them seriously. See BAMA, but really they're not quite elite anymore. See A&M. Back end of the top 10/mid teens.

I watched a couple of OU games last year. They embarrassed themselves against a vastly overrated Baylor team.

I just think if they were in the sec, they would rarely sniff the top ten at year end and never make it to Atlanta. Or like once every 20 years.

Oklahoma is solid. But we had no business getting our asses whipped by them. We outmanned them at every spot but the score board.

If you use the Arkansas standard, A&M's is UL-Monroe.

I was shocked. I got off a plane, saw the final score and said Wtf?

Bama just didn't want to be there and didn't care.

Wasn't like 2010 when (IMO) sabans second best team ever talent wise embarrassed itself all year and had something to prove against MSU.

Last year's bama didn't feel like it had anything to prove with people still telling them how great they were all bowl season.
