I know we've had a conspiracy theory thread on here, but conspiracies surrounding the JFK assassination seem to be the most widely accepted ones. I've been watching some History Channel reruns regarding the event and I'm curious as to what the OTB thinks. Are you of the Crash Davis school of thought that there was only one shooter and it was Lee Harvey Oswald? Someone chillin' on the grassy knoll involved? Did another government or our own put LHO up to it? Was Lyndon Johnson involved (BTW, I'm surprised at the number of older people I've met that think this)?

Personally, I'm not sure about the number of shooters but I wouldn't be surprised if he was taken out by a government entity (either ours or another) for his actions regarding Cuba.

The mob did it. Robert Kennedy was close to taking down the mob. So they had John and Robert killed for it.

Neil Whites book "In the Sanctuary of Outcasts" talks about this. He's in prison with a mob lawyer who says that he knows the mob killed JFK.

Click here for some interesting reading on the topic. It's a link to a TigerDroppings thread that pops up annually, but it's got a lot of information on the topic.

Mary Kay, Inc. is an American privately owned multi-level marketing/direct sales company that sells cosmetics products. According to Direct Selling News, Mary Kay was the sixth largest direct selling company in the world in 2011. Mary Kay is based in Addison, Texas, outside Dallas. The company was founded by Mary Kay Ash in 1963.

Mary Kay was starting up and Jackie had much better fashion sense so she had to go. LBJ set up the hit and Big Hair became the rage once the Kennedy's Camelot was no more.

True Story.

Lee Harvey Oswald

If Jack Ruby hadnt shot Oswald, the conspiracy angle would never have been nearly as big. People just cant accept that he did that without some ulterior motive. I've always believed the only thing that makes less sense than Jack Ruby killing him randomly or out of rage is him throwing himself under the bus for some big conspiracy plot.

I've never heard anyone proposing this theory convincingly explain the connection between Oswald, Sirhan and the mafia.

The premise sounds reasonable enough, but the logistics falter.

Roger..in a way I agree with you,but Ruby killing himself..that is the part that doesn't make sense in that theory.
He was going to be a misguided American Hero, at the very least.

He had not ever been rich, but he was still a fairly successful guy, more so than most people.
He invented the little twistie thing, he was on his way to big things.

This much we know is true, the CIA had contacts with organized crime families to discuss assassinating the president. Only the president was Cuba's Fidel Castro, not Kennedy.

The mob was heavily invested in casinos and other lucrative investments in Cuba before Castro's communist revolution, according to one iteration of the theory. Kennedy botched the Bay of Pigs invasion, ending any hopes of American organized crime returning to Cuba and enraging the mafia.

Furthermore, the mob did not like Kennedy's crusading younger brother Attorney General Robert Kennedy, and hoped the younger brother would lose his influence if his brother was killed.

One version of the theory has the CIA, who had already contacted the mob about killing Castro, asking the mafia to carry out the Kennedy hit. In another version the mob is paid to kill Kennedy by anti-Castro Cubans.

Many proponents of this conspiracy theory point to Jack Ruby, the Dallas nightclub owner with known mafia connections, who killed Lee Harvey Oswald two days after his arrest.

Not saying I believe it, but here is the link.

Huh?

"As the date for his new trial was being set, Ruby became ill and died of a pulmonary embolism due to lung cancer."

Helluva way to kill yourself.

"WE" do not know that anything is true.

I can tell you, You can go get in some shite, and when the debriefing is over, you think you smell like roses.

You can stand in the middle of something really happening, and not understand what you have just seen with your own eyes.

Even when you are a gear in the machine, don't ever think that you understand the machine.

Read the book, "Killing Kennedy" by Bill O'Reilly.

Only covers the facts of JFK's assassination and cuts straight to the point that there was no other shooter than Oswald. The facts point to that and any "evidence" proving outside help with the killing has been proven wrong.

Not gonna lie, I really wish I could be a Kennedy. Bad luck aside being in that family back then was an instant ticket to being a badass.
