Thoughts on serving alcohol in BDS?

Hey guys how's it going? I'm interested in everyone's opinion about serving alcoholic beverages in BDS. As everyone knows, the "right field ragers" has been a huge success for the baseball games this year and i'm curious to see what our fans think about the idea of bringing it into the football stadium.
A marketing professor I know has been meeting up and discussing this will battle for the past little while and we've discussed possible pro's and con's of this idea.
I'm curious to see what our fan base thinks and if you don't mind include a few pros and cons and i'll be sure to pass this up to him (along with any other ideas). Thanks for your time everyone and roll tide.

It's brought into the stadium every game
Pro: increased revenue off of the alcohol sales
Cons: drunkards everywhere
I realize you can probably handle your alcohol. However, there's usually a few at the stadium that cannot handle it. I always seem to get to sit near the drunkest fan in the stadium

I've literally never been to Bryant Denny without a few small bottles of whiskey.
Except 9-6. I thought I wanted to be sober for that game.

People who want to get wasted at games are going to do it, and they're not drinking beer. It would be $100 worth to get the average man drunk if it's being sold at $9. I don't see what the problem with serving beer would be. I don't think it would make people go crazy or anything.

I appreciate the responses everyone! Maybe i stated the question wrong haha. I know a lot of fans usually just put shooters in a girls bag/cowboy boots, or the "pouring rooms" if you're in the zone. I meant more along the lines actually selling it in the stadium and making it accessible to everyone of age.

More people would show up and stay longer, that's for sure.
ETA: games would be louder too.

I don't think they should.

It's a ball game, not church. Nothing wrong with sneaking in a little booze, I like to have fun at bama games
It would be policed much heavier if the administration really cared about people sneaking it in.

The only real issue you would run into is a bunch of the younger students attempting to use fake ID's. Outside of that I don't see why this is still an issue across the country.

was at a jimmy buffett concert a couple years ago at lakewood amphitheatre. baby brother went to get him a beer. came back shaking his head. a small was 9 dollars a cup, a large was 11 dollars. so, from a monetary point it could be a windfall. from a, drunks are crazy, point of view. most are drunk when they show up. yes there will be some that go to far. but, there always is, anyway.

I go to Grizzlies games when I go back home and they will empty out your wallet on beer sales.

Beer drunk is safer than whiskey drunk.

I don't drink so it will not impact me personally one way or the other but I do have some thoughts on the subject.
One idea that the student section would likely love...you should not sell beer in the stadium, you should give it away.
Now the legit conversation.
(1) Alabama will have to require the group that runs consessions to hold the pouring license. This would provide a layer of legal protection for the university.
(2) The expected income from selling beer in the stadium would be in the $800K to $900K per year range.
(3) Having access in the stadium would cut down on "some" of the binge drinking that takes place before heading to the stadium. No need to get "one last drink" anymore.
(4) Alabama would likely follow some of the standard practices used at other stadiums and cut off the taps at the mid point of the 3rd quarter. Again reducing some liability risk.
(5) If they follow some of the stardard practices already out there, the beer service may end up everywhere in the stadium EXCEPT the student section.
Just a little food for thought. Not every idea is as grand as is first imagined.

He's the man. Loved his Sales class I took.
To answer the question, I think it would be good all around. I bring liquor into games, but I'd much rather drink beer. I'd actually get less drunk because I'd drink a few beers at the game instead of giant rum/bourbon and cokes.

I hope they don't allow it because if they do, they're going to more strictly enforce people bringing in their own.

I think they should just scan your license. It would be more efficient than the cashier having to read and do the math on the spot.
