Berea (Ky.) Madison Southern 5-star running back Damien Harris released his top eight schools via Twitter Friday, a list that included Ohio State, Kentucky, Alabama, Oregon, Florida, Florida State, Michigan and Notre Dame.

The 5-foot-11, 205-pounder, ranked as the No. 1 running back in the country and No. 23 overall prospect in the 2015 class by the 247Sports Composite, rushed for 2,621 yards and 42 touchdowns as a junior last season.

From all accounts Ohio State still leads for him but Kentucky could make a strong push if they show progress on the field this season.

Lol Urbs still selling the Harvin line to kids that aren't remotely close talent wise.

Wasn't he and George Campbell committed to Michigan?

Damien Harris and Justin Hilliard want to play together. If Hilliard choses ND (which I don't think he will) then I believe Damien will look around a bit more. At this point, OSU.

I like Urban and have gotten over the bad feelings, but dude needs to slow his roll on the "Harvin position". There hasn't been a Percy walk through that door in 7 years. Athletes like him don't come around often.

I'm not sure about Campbell but Harris was. He opened it back up in January.

We'll take Harris as revenge for Elam.

Urban hasn't said anything about Harvin with Harris. He saves that line for kids who are going to play a do everything type role. Harrs is a pure RB, and a good one.

Parris Campbell/Dontre Wilson/Curtis Samuel have all been given the "Harvin" line I'm sure. All of them are 4* talents, but none of them are Harvin #1 player in the class level

Speedy Noil is the closest I've seen.

Harris isn't going to Bama.

You never know, but I figure that Alabama will add Nick Gibson and be done with RB for 2015.

I think it'll come down to Kentucky and Ohio State in the end. He's waiting to see what we do this season.

We still need to exact revenge for Shaun Alexander. And you'll take it.

He seems to enjoy Lexington quite a bit. I don't have any reason to think under Stoops they couldn't make a push depending on now the season goes.

If he can beat out Saban in a recruiting battle (and I think most Alabama fans will tell you they recruited Elam hard) it's not impossible to think he can against Meyer. Especially with an instate kid.
