Why does the Rant hate T.J. Yeldon so much?

The guy has just about the exact same career rushing stats as Todd Gurley and has performed better in conference play than Gurley has, although he doesn't have TG's receiving numbers. All this with Yeldon as a backup in his first year, while Gurley was the starter from Day 1.

The rant always tries to put Mike Davis over Yeldon, while TJY had more yards, more touchdowns, and a high YPC last year. Their 2011's aren't even comparable.

The guys is on pace to break Shaun Alexander's career yards record for Alabama.

And if Saban's past performance of running back splits holds true, this guy could very well eclipse 1400 or 1500 yards this year.

Is it because of the fumbles?

Is it because of the lack of success of Heisman Trophy Winner Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson in the pros?

Is it that people think he is running behind a great offensive line?

I can't figure the hate for this guy.

Because he's a fumble wad at the worst moments. I personally don't like him much myself.

Nobody hates TJ Yeldon.

What people tire of is hearing how great he is and he's one of the best RBs in teh country when he's not.

His freshman season he came into games when the human bulldozer known as eddie lacy had already wore everyone down, and last year as the #1 back he fumbled quite a bit in some big time situations.

Nobody hates yeldon, nobody thinks he sucks, but he is overhyped.

You've started this thread before and lost. Are you a glutton for punishment?

Yeldon fumbles but make no mistake, the hate comes from the fact that he wears that beautiful crimson uniform.

I like Yeldon and think this board severely underrates him. Hes absolutely one of the best RBs in the country. He's a ridiculously fluid athlete with great vision and he's a fantastic receiver. Yeah he's had some ill timed fumbles in the clutch that definitely deserve criticism but those fumbles have pinned him as a bust my a lot of people here, which is ridiculous.

I don't hate him, and think he's solid, but I hate people who think he's the best RB in SEC

What's the cutoff for "one of the best"? He's a top 10 back nationally most likely. Is he one of the top 2 or 3?

No.

I liked Trent Richardson, because he didn't fumble.

Kind of misleading statement here. Yeldon only averaged 3 less carries per game than Gurley did in 2012.

I do not hate TJ Yeldon. I try not to hate. However, for some reason, I always had issues with Tebow. And Cam of course.

He is no Gurly. Gurly has been injured, which leads to similar numbers. Yeldon dances too much, and has a fumble issue. When healthy, Gurly is a game changer. Look at the UF game last year. He couldn't at much, but when he did they couldn't stop him.
