That's a really weak team considering how good AU has been in that stretch.

Tough to pick qb. Sexy Rexy running Spurrier's system or Cam/Tebow under Meyer?

I guess it's a testament to how blessed we've been at the position under Richt.

Greene had poise and cool under fire that I haven't seen before or since at UGA. If going on that alone he'd be the runaway selection. However, for a list like this, those other 3 can make the same throws Greene could but also bring other dynamics. Shockley could run. Stafford had clearly the stronger arm. Murray had a great deep ball and could move around as well.

I love Greene, but don't think I'd take him on this list. Plus, if you really want to get down to it, he benefitted mightily from having stout defenses 3 of his 4 years. Neither Murray nor Stafford had as good of a defense in their careers like Greene had basically all of his.

Replace with Antonio Coleman all day long.

LB: Takeo Spikes

I thought his last year was the year before the BCS started.

DB: David Irons

I'd put Jerraud Powers in over Irons.

I want to find spots for Geno Atkins, Alec Ogletree (I might put him over Jarvis in a 4-3 with his sideline to sideline speed), and Brandon Boykin, but your list looks solid.

I would go with Stafford or maybe Murray with that team. We wouldn't need a runner with that group and would want the best pure passer.

Eta- might consider Reggie Brown over Edwards
Eta2- Boykin over Gibson at KR

Rex Grossman and the 2001 Gator offense averaged 7.36 yards per play. Only USC in 2005 was better in the BCS era.

That offense was DISGUSTING.

If the team hadn't shite the bed that year against AU and UT, it would have been an epic national title that year with Miami.

There are 7 first round draft picks and 3 second round draft picks on the Auburn team the original poster made. Team isn't that weak. I would add Greg Robinson to the offensive line and Ronnie Brown to running back. That would give you nine first round draft picks.

I don't think I've ever felt as sick as I did after that UT game.
