I've seen him around campus. Hes just build like a bowling ball.

The Alshon diet seems to be working out just fine for Alshon. Davis is just taking notes. He'll have a good year again.

Seriously what it is most likely is his external obliques, also known as the Flank Pads, on each side of his lower torso are well developed as athletes - especially shorter, stocky athletes - like him tend to be, and it looks like it's a fat bulge at his wasteline when it's really a muscle bulge.
Davis is stocky but not fat at all.....
