Why didn't Vandy throw Tyler Beede? Is it because LSU started Poche?

Beede threw 122 pitches Thursday against South Carolina

That LHP did give LSU a lot of trouble the first matchup but his wildness ended up costing them the game. It's the same reason LSU didn't throw Nola on short rest.

Vandy doesn't need to overburden their pitchers, this tourney is of little importance in all reality.

It is of little importance, in the long run. Vandy is already going to the post season, and while they had an outside shot at a national seed it isn't worth overworking your rotation in order to get it. The conference tournaments in baseball are more for the bubble teams to see if they can get a post season slot or strengthen their resume. Neither of which Vandy has to do.
