It's a weak year for softball if a team with 11 losses can get the 2 seed.

The three seed UCLA is 48-6. Bama's RPI is higher than both Oregon and UCLA though.

SEC was just a beast. 11 of 13 teams are in the NCAA. 6 SEC teams are hosting. I think 6 SEC teams had RPI's in the Top 20.

Yup. The Pac 12 had 6 teams with top 14 RPIs, but the next team was Stanford all the way down at 41. All 11 SEC teams that made the tournament had top 32 RPIs

Thanks Cheesegrits, forgot today was selection sunday.
Considering winning the toughest conference I think the committee did well for us on the seeding.

Sending LSU out west was no favor. They never seem to send the PAC schools east. I think UK played their way to a host site from advancing in the tournament. Could also be ESPN raved about the UK stadium when they hosted last year. Mississippi State has to play Texas in their first game and they put TAMU in OK and KU in MO.

They do it so late too. Wish they did it about 2 hours earlier for folks in the east. 10pm on the east coast and folks have gone to bed or are watching primetime TV.

Baylor is really the only region you could have sent LSU closer than out west though.

Wasn't many places to stick them. But yeah LSU has a tough road ahead, Louisville is a solid team and if they lose that first game it's going to be hard for them to rebound.
