Well, PR#1 Florida swept their opponent (PR#5 Alabama) and PR#14 Mizzou got swept by their opponent (PR#6 Vandy). That's the way it should be. The rest of the results this weekend (outside of the Mississippi schools taking care of business) didn't go as most everyone predicted. I don't envy anyone that tries to rank the SEC this week

If you want to contribute to this week's Baseball Power Rankings, submit your 1-14 ranking of the SEC teams here or email it to me (email is in my profile). We will randomly pick 2 rankings out of all the reasonable ones submitted. Voting closes at the end of Monday, and the winners will be announced in the Baseball Power Rankings thread on Tuesday.

Here are some suggestions that we give to the regular voters:
quote:

We aren't going to tie your hands with a "formula" but we encourage you to use some of the following: the past week's results, team momentum/trend, conference record, rankings (RPI, SOS, CBN, Coaches, NPI, etc), team stats, OOC record, overall record, eye-test. We trust that you're able to form your own combo of these elements without our guidance, but we would like you to emphasize what a team has most recently accomplished.

Tuesday Rundown
Arkansas @ Missouri St. (4-1)
Missouri vs. SE Missouri St. (6-5)
Texas A&M vs. Texas St. (9-2)
LSU vs. Alcorn St. (9-7)

Wednesday Rundown
Mississippi St. vs. Jacksonville St. (1-2)
Ole Miss vs. Southern Miss (6-7)
Alabama @ Samford (9-5)

Conference Series
1-2 - Kentucky @ Tennessee (15-1, 2-8, 1-5)
3-0 - Mississippi State @ Auburn (3-0, 3-0, 14357-1)
1-2 - South Carolina @ Georgia (1-3, 5-2, 3-5)
3-0 - Vanderbilt @ Missouri (8-3, 5-1, 3-1)
1-2 - Arkansas @ Ole Miss (2-3, 4-7, 7-1)
1-2 - LSU @ Texas A&M (5-4, 2-3, 3-4)
3-0 - Florida @ Alabama (7-3, 4-3, 13-3)

Will be interesting to see who sits out of the SEC tournament.

Looks like Missouri will be joined by Auburn, Tennessee, UGA, A&M, Arkansas or Kentucky. Most of the these teams play at least 1 series against another in the last two weeks.

What an amazing year for SEC baseball

Auburn can't decide how much we want to blow. This week we decided to be a $2 hooker

No, what I despise is everytime they sweep a shyt team the start a thread and say how good they are but when they lose a series you don't see the or 2 weeks.

It will be exciting to see who gets in and who is left out. Right now, it looks like this for the bottom dwellers:

aTm - 12-12
Arkansas - 11-13
Tennessee - 10-14
Kentucky - 10-14
Georgia - 9-14
Auburn - 9-15
Missouri - 6-18

Of the ones within a shot of each other, the head-to-heads belong to:

Tennessee over Kentucky
Auburn over Arkansas and Tennessee
Georgia over Tennessee and aTm
Kentucky over aTm

Yet to be played (between those still on the bubble):
Auburn at Kentucky (5/9)
aTm at Arkansas (5/9)
Kentucky at Georgia (5/15)

This has been a great year to follow SEC baseball.
