Brandon is an awesome dude, and Gabe is a good guy though a bit dorky. I have no idea how they put up with Liucci's level of douche.

Gabe just has one of those goofy middle aged personalities that make for awesome fathers but kinda awkward in the company of peers

Gabe is honestly the biggest dork I've ever seen or heard, save a few corps guys I met in college. It is astonishing.

I'd much rather interact with a dork than a complete tool.
A dork is just awkward most of the time, tends to have thicker skin because he's used to ridicule/criticism, and has a sense of humor, warped or otherwise.
A tool truly believes in his own self-importance and CANNOT STAND when people don't kiss his arse. Usually the thinnest skinned people.

I'm sure Gabe is a great person, but he is an absolutely terrible interviewer and radio host. He'll have awesome former players and Aggie legends in front of the mic, then step all over them with his "talk abouts."

This! Half the time I wonder why they bother with the interviewee. Gabe needs to shut up more often.
