Maty Mauk in the spring game

Did anyone go to the spring game?? If so my question is as follows: Has Maty learned to put any touch on the ball?
He threw a lot of bad passes last year but he threw them so hard no one could catch them, offense or defense. I remember L Washington coming back to the huddle talking to him after he would over throw or throw a lazer at him and he could not get to it.

Mauk had a 67 percent completion percentage from the spring game. (Nearly 10 percent improvement from last year)

Maty tweaked his mechanics a bit and has a higher release point. This has enhanced both his accuracy and his touch. I'm really impressed with Maty's growth as a QB. He's worked hard in the off season and it shows.

He's always had more touch than Gabbert.
