Would be an interesting choice for ESPN, which could broadcast it itself but which has a vested interest in the new network

quote:

Putting Clemson at Georgia on the SEC Network would go a long way towards shooting down the argument that the SEC Network is only going to carry the lower tier football games. Hell, it also establishes to the rest of the country that if your team is playing at an SEC venue you may be on the SEC Network too. Combine Clemson at Georgia with Texas A&M at South Carolina and Arkansas at Auburn and you're talking about three very solid games for opening weekend.

Are AT&T and Dish still the only two scheduled to carry it?

They should. The last meeting was even contest and an exciting game. With FSU/ACC winning the last NC, I would think there might be a bit more interest.

This!

My 2-year contract runs out August 24, I’m already considering other options.

if CU/UGA gets bumped to the SECN, then you can bet your azz it gets the primetime slot... would likely mean a 11:30 or something like that.

2:30 in August in AL would kill people.

It also widens pressure on DTV. It makes people outside of the SEC care a little too.

I mentioned this like 2 weeks ago on our board. Due to the time slots, it's not inconceivable.

Won't matter unless you're on a local cable provider. Any national provider who carries it will carry it nationally.

Please, please, please Dawgs ... curb stomp the taterheads this year, especially if they broadcast it on the SEC Network. (Which I seriously doubt they will for obvious reasons, which includes Clay Travis being wrong 90% of the time.)

I think I saw this somewhere a couple of days ago but I'm wondering if it was from Travis...

Hope the posturing isn't needed and DTV plays ball, so to speak. I'll be watching whatever since I'm good with Uverse. Finally came down on the right side of this carriage BS.
