How are your freshman doing in spring camp?

Who's standing out?
It looks like Cam Robinson and Tony Brown will end up starters.
Cam Sime is already #2 behind Amari. Looking like a complete receiver, not the possession guy I expected.
SDH is also really impressing. Lots of depth in front of him, but he will have a roll this year.

Tony Brown is raw as frick, basically a track star learning how to play corner. Him starting may not be good news.
For A&M, Zaycoven Henderson is looking like a potential starter at DT and Speedy Noil is pretty much the best true freshman offensive player anyone around here has ever seen.

This must be why Aggie passed on him.

So are you happy you have SDH now?

That hasn't been the reports coming out of practice. But ya, no matter how good a freshman corner is, they are going to have their struggles.

No, he'd have been a great player to land. Just saying nobody in the recruiting process expected him to contribute immediately.

I honestly thought he was going to be a processee

Josh Malone at WR
Jalen Hurd at RB
Ethan Wolf at TE
Daniel Helm at TE
Every skill position got a much needed upgrade. All 4 look to be immediate impact players
Malone won MVP at the Orange & White game with 6 catches for 180+ yards and 3 TD.

Don't blame you his size was a concern for me as well, sounds like he's doing good though.

Jared Cornelius out of Shreveport, LA will play a lot of ball at WR for us...

If he's like Dee Milliner in 2010, Alabama will be fine. He'll have those moments, but the talent is obvious.

Jacob Park was the only EE. He looked pretty solid in the spring game, but he's obviously got a lot of learning to do.

Hopefully Eddie will be back for fall so he doesn't have to start

Are these early enrollees and midyear transfers or freshmen and those that redshirted?

CJ Hampton was a beast all through spring. He will challenge for a starting position at Rover (SS).
I think the only other EE we had was Kendrick Doss at QB. He's not expected to contribute, will probably redshirt. However, after seeing him I think his future is at QB. Originally thought he might change positions, but his arm looked good and he's huge. Ran like Barry Brunetti with a better arm. I like.

Jalen Tabor and Duke Dawson. Grier has also looked good.

Just Freshmen?
Kyle Allen is possibly the starter at QB. Of course that's pending what happens to Kenny Hill, but I'll have serious concerns if anyone but #10 or #7 takes a meaningful snap.
Speedy Noil is definitely worthy of the #2 jersey
J.J. Gustafson will likely redshirt. He had to greyshirt due to an injury and we're fairly deep at OL
Zaycovan Henderson may not start, but he will play a lot at nose. He's HUGE (310 lbs as a true freshman)

Excited to see Cameron Robinson play.
He's been running with the first team for most reps.
