Heard on KC Radio: No SEC school has a better QB situation than Mizzou with Mauk

WHB's TJ Carpenter said it about an hour ago.
He then said Auburn and Ole Miss might be close to Mizzou but then backtracked and said Mauk was far better than Bro and that he was unsure what Auburn's situation was or how far they'd go.
No mention of Dak, Thompson or Mason.
Thoughts?

They must not follow SEC football up north.

What would you expect a KC radio station to say?

We're not in a bad situation at QB. We have problems elsewhere, though. And now at WR...

KC radio needs something to talk about other than Techn9ne, I guess.

True, but the ones that are returning are pretty solid. And I believe I've read in a few places that Jeff Driskel is having a pretty strong spring too. The state of Mississippi won't be bad off in that department either. But it's KC radio, so they're going to cater to their listeners.

Who is Mauk going to throw it to? Does not sound like DGB will be a target and you lost a couple more good ones.

Not to take anything from the current qb's, but they can't touch a group of AJ, JFF, Mett, Murray, Shaw, and Franklin

Well no, but that doesn't mean the schools who have guys returning like Wallace, Dak, Driskel, etc won't be in a good QB situation. Especially when there's some questions about some other losses on Mizzou's offense.

The others yes, but I can't consider Driskel a good qb situation. Till shown differently, he is JJ 2.0.

I'll bump this thread when Marshall wins the Heisman.

Mauk may or not be the best QB in the SEC (wasn't overly impressive when I saw him play SC) but he is not in a good situation.
I don't know what Mizzou's OLine is losing but I know they aren't returning all 5 starters. Plus losing their #1 RB (though Murphy and Hansbrough should do fine) and 2 of their top WRs along with possibly DGB.
