Simple. Because they know the truck drivers are compensating (for something), and thus make perfect beta orbiters to fulfill the females' narcissistic personality disorders. And they realize that the simps, lacking true alpha confidence, rely on material things to enhance their masculinity, and thus, will spend ridiculous amounts of money on said narcissistic hos. A 4WD truck, regardless of of its engine or wheel size, or lift, doesn't DHV. On the contrary.

Alphas don't need to impress with their conveyance.

That said, they also prefer to drive vehicles that are safe, fast, and comfortable, thus trucks typically fall to work duties if used at all.

Who wants to drive a tall, rough riding, ugly gas hog everyday when you could be driving a fast and comfortable car that uses half the fuel, handles 2x better (at least), stops better, and goes like a scalded dog? I certainly don't.

How many men actually use their 'manly' trucks to either haul shite or actually work in a job where they NEED 4WD? Granted there are some. I'll go out on a limb here and say that, in my estimation, about 10% of pickups that get driven daily are actually used for something that requires a pickup on a daily basis. Otherwise they make shitty commuter vehicle that project an 'image' of manliness.
