It never made much sense to us to get overcharged on venue, hotels, bands, transport, etc...to each their own

We have ours the first weekend of Mardi Gras every year. Its not really that bad. Renting out a bar is like $3k and stay at the marriott for like $150/ room/ night.

Went to NO for spring break. That Starbucks was across the street from our hotel. That's Canal and Royal. Royal was actually nice. Bourbon was a shithole. Seriously, they washed the streets Weds morning. Guess the smell finally got to the locals.
