2009 Alabama wins the National Title after a magical season.
The next season their rival, Auburn, wins the National Title.
The following season, Alabama again wins the title, but all hope looks lost at one point in the regular season.
2011, Kentucky wins the National Title after a magical season.
The next season their rival, Louisville, wins the National Title.
The following season, Kentucky may very well win the title, but all hope seemed lost at one point in the regular season.

Well except for the fact that there are rematches in the tournement from the regular season, just like we saw in football in 2011. Is that what you were trying to contrast? Not really a good post on your part.
