Question for arky fans regarding Bert and player safety

been reading some good reports about Bert's crusade for player safety. Guy sounds serious about it - which is a good thing. Question is - Is Bert doing anything different from any other coach in America to enhance player safety? Been looking for some specifics but can't find any. He's touting the new helmets but a lot of other schools are getting them also. So, what sets Bert apart besides all his public comments?

He's instituted regular stadium and practice checks for snipers after the unfortunate Anthony Swain incident.
