Between the commercial breaks and the constant trips to the foul line, I find ncaa basketball almost unwatchable. It's a great game but they've really done a number on it.

That's college baseball for 99% of the population.

Yet you still watch don't you

Actually, I catch up by watching highlight shows. The last five minutes of a game can last twenty real minutes. No thanks.

the best basketball is fast break and speed ball. The NCAA - via commercial money - has killed this aspect of the game.

It would help if LSU could at least make the tourney huh?

The most telling game in the modern NCAA was UK vs Duke in a regional when Tubby was coaching. Coach K burned his TO's early and UK played 7 - 10 min straight with no interruptions (no commercials) and they literally ran the Duke players out of the game. UK was more fit and just wore the duke team out. Since then they have the mandatory TV timeouts at 16:00, 12:00, 8:00, 4:00, and 2:00 so that will never happen again.

The NCAA needs to adopt the NBA rules so badly
