He is a fricking idiot.
Heard him on a radio interview this morning and he was terrible. He must have said "National Football League" 50 times in a span of 5 minutes. Just say "NFL" you insufferable twat

Maybe he is trying to model his front office off of Alexander's army?
Gay people fight harder for their gay lovers?

I watched the discussion.
He didn't outright say it, unless he finished his argument with a direct statement like that. I missed the last second or two.
He said that he wouldn't draft Clowney at all if he was Houston in the 1st round, which meant Clowney would be drafted by somebody else. Then he said if Sam was available in a later round, he would definitely take him.
ESPN sucks.

I know Hoge had a nice pro career but since when did he become so astute at judging the leap from college to the pros? The guy played his college football at Idaho State for tricks sake. How would he know about making the leap from big time college football to the NFL?

So where does Dee Ford fall in the equation?

He's found himself to be less and less relevant at ESPN, if you can believe that.
So he just starts making up shite that makes no sense just to get attention.

Hoge is just saying garbage for shock value now even though I do agree with his observations of Khalil Mack.

He's trolling for retweets

Dude is an idiot. I figured it out years ago and stopped paying attention to anything he said. I further figured out that Suzy Kolber knows more about the game than he does. He obviously has forgotten everything he learned from playing the game, and forgotten a bunch of other shite also.

If it wasn't for the news about Sam being gay, I'd wager Hoge wouldn't know who he is

According to this guy that tweet took what he actually said out of context.
This makes much more sense.

@TotalNiners: @WillBrinson Apparently they took their own analyst's statement out of context. He said he'd rather take Sam in fifth than Clowney in first.

Hoge knows that Michael Sam is a true sac master.
