Do agree with you for the most part. There's no way you can call Clowney a diva though, in ^ that guy's shadow.

Just because a guy isn't the biggest diva doesn't mean he isn't a diva.

In terms of being a recruit, Clowney was a pretty serious diva. He's in the distinguished company of Terrelle Pryor and Bryce Brown of top recruits wanting the post-signing day attention.

My point is that saying Spurrier doesn't play that shite is just being a homer.

Kid isn't even the top Quarterback in Florida. He is probably the top Athlete, but not QB. Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

I'd say SOS tried his best to keep Clowney out of the media for non-football related reasons, and succeeded for the better part of 3 years (up until the speeding incidents), whereas theres tons of photo documentation of JFF partying and living it up, etc., doing everything you DON'T want your Heisman caliber QB doing.

And in regards to delaying post-signing day attention, Clowney waited about 7 days so he could announce on his birthday, where Pryor and Brown waited more than a month because they were REAL divas, playing the recruiting game. Clowney knew where he was going all along.

EDIT: Point is, SOS runs a tight fricking ship.

Haha fair enough

Never did receive the kind of attention Clowney or JFF did though, I'd call him more of an idiot than a diva, but the two are obviously not mutually exclusive

Mike Farrell ?@rivalsmike 28m
4-star QB Torrance Gibson has cancelled his upcoming visit to #SouthCarolina and replaced it with a visit to #Tennessee

Looks like the kid does have a taste for the dramatic... or hookers.

There was a very positive article regarding the Vols standing with Torrance. Butch is selling him on being the clear cut, starting QB the moment he steps foot on campus.

Named a top 3 of VOLS, tOSU and Miami.

When you have to resort to throwing your current guys under the bus to sell a high schooler on being a starter as a true freshman QB in the SEC, you know you're desperate. Hell, we played the Tereshinski-Cox game before settling on Stafford as a starter in 2006.

Has he nicknamed him Bubble yet? Because that's still the creepiest thing I think Meyer has done in a long line of creepy things.

That Would be career suicide for both Gibson and Butch. He is no where ready to start at QB in college.

UGA offered him as a WR first but has agreed to give him a shot at QB as well.

Only because he is dead set on playing QB. Auburn and Ohio State are honestly the only schools he will get the chance to fail at QB at. If he really wants to waste half his college career trying to play a position where he will only be mediocre at best, those are his options. Everybody else will move him to WR.
