So yes this is a spinoff thread, but there are many professional sports fans here. So list off your favorite team in each of the Big 3 leagues and then throw in another appropriate team or three outside those based on who you like.

As a changeup, please list the teams in the order you like them. Like for me its:

NFL: The Saints are the team I grew up with and my strongest tie outside of family to my homeland. Their SB win is so far my best sports moment and only an Aggie NC could tie or beat it.

NBA: I love the Rockets. I don't know why but I loved games in that stadium back in college and I loved Hakeem Olajuwon growing up when NO didn't have a team.

MLB: I honestly don't have a team. Its my least favorite major due to a lack of parity and a strong yankee (lowercase Mizzou type) vibe.

Wildcards:

NHL: The Stars. Also big fans of my local Cedar Park Stars. The games are a lot of fun and their home arena is nice. Way way better than the barn I used to go watch Odessa Jackalopes play in.

NASCAR: Jeff Gordon

Professional Wrestling: Haven't watched since I was a kid and I figured out it was fake (that was my Santa Claus moment), but I loved Randy Savage may he RIP.

NFL: Cowboys since I knew what football was

NBA: Mavs, started watching after Cuban bought them

MLB: Rangers, but only when I go to live games. Otherwise I really couldn't care less about baseball

NHL: Stars, since some of my Navy buddies got me interested in Hockey. Sidenote: I have seen too many Jackalopes games to count and agree that Ector County Coliseum is a craphole

Nascar: Even though his best years are behind him, I am still a big fan of Jeff Gordon

NFL- no team, just players. Peyton manning, marshawn lynch, and soon Jff are my favorite players. I guess I enjoy when the saints, jaguars, and colts win for no reason
Nba- if you don't know already I'm a spurs fan and live in sa

Tge only other sport I enjoy are the Olympics, so America.

NFL: Grew up 60 miles away, so Cowboys all the way... until I was corrupted after moving to Mississippi 30+ years ago. Saints now, but the moves they've made dumping their best players in the off-season are mind-boggling. I'm right there with you on the SB and that was a tremendous event, but as for comparing that to an Aggie NC... there is no comparison. It isn't close for me.

NBA: Boston Celtics 1980'ish. Haven't much cared since then, other than pulling for anybody against Miami.

MLB: Rangers all the way, despite everything.

NASCAR: AOTJJ (figure it out). Gordon or Jr. Sentimental favorite is Gordon.

NFL- Cowboys, from growing up in East Texas in the 90's.

NBA- Mavs

MLB- Pittsburgh Pirates, had family members that played for them.

MLS- Houston Dynamo, since I was living here when they moved into town.

Wrestling- Sting was always the man.

MLB: Rangers. Went to my first game at 7 years old ('97). Idolized the Rangers players of that era.

NBA: Spurs. Grew up with the Spurs as the closest NBA team. Spurs are the class of the NBA, plus Popovich is a baller. I think i may cry the day the big 3 is no more

NFL: Cowboys. Don't watch much NFL anymore, but the Cowboys are my team with the Texans as a close second.

MIB: San Antonio Missions. Probably been to 30 or so Missions games with my family.

NFL: Been a Dallas Cowboys fan as long as I can remember. Started rooting for the Texans more recently though. Hoping HOU drafts JFF. Like rooting for both Texas teams.

NBA: Been a Spurs fan since well before the Tim Duncan Era. David Robinson is my childhood idol. San Antonio is my old adopted hometown. That franchise is my passion. The first (and last) time I ever wept over a sporting event was over Spurs games Really trying hard these past few years not to take their sustained success for granted and just enjoy the twilight years of Duncan, Popovich, et. al. #GoSpursGo

NASCAR: Been a Jeff Gordon fan since his was my favorite die-cast car when I was a kid. Started rooting for Jimmie Johnson as well in his rookie year. Rep the #24 and #48. Also kinda root for Danica Patrick because she gets way more flack than is necessary.

Hockey: Dallas Stars (although I'm not a diehard fan, though). Just like watching hockey in general.

MLB: Royals/Cards, then Astros/Rangers. Not a diehard baseball fan, either.

Grew up in Northeast Texas, and pulled for all the Dallas teams.

Cowboys - My first game at Texas Stadium was in 91 against Reggie White's Eagles. They killed us. Sacked Aikman 7 times, shut us out, and held us to a Cowboy record low 62 yards of total offense.

Rangers - The early 90's Rangers had almost no pitching outside Nolan Ryan, but the bats still made the team fun to watch. Julio Franco's batting stance was almost worth the price of admission alone.

Mavericks - Became a fan right after Roy Tarpley crashed, and Ro Blackman and Derek Harper's careers were coming to an end. So I spent most of the 90's watching the Mavs set the all-time record for worst winning percentage for a decade--regardless of sport. I remember when guys like Terry Davis and Mike Iuzzolino were our "stars". To this day I hate the Spurs because Duncan should have been ours, but the stupid lottery kept screwing us over and over and over.

Cowboys. I'll only watch MLB, NBA, or NHL if the local team is in the finals….Rangers, Mavs, or Stars.

I do pull for other NFL teams with Ags on them when they're not playing the Cowboys though. Denver for Von, and, hopefully, the Texans for JFF.

NFL: Grew up a cowboys and oilers fan- cowboys were 1a to the oilers 1b by a hair- had started coming around to rooting for the texans until it started looking imminent that they are going with frickin Bortles. Then again Jerry jones continues to mind frick me at every opportunity. At this point I enjoy the teams that excel on D

MLB: Grew up with the killer b's so Astros have my allegiance (been brutal lately), however I have always wanted the rangers to do well too

NBA: Sorry for the ******.com reference but aim a sleepy spuurrrssss fan all the way

NHL: shite I can count the number of times I have seen snow on one hand what the frick would I know about hockey? Besides the games are fun to go to- oh and we beat dem commie Russians once, and Gretzky is the GOAT

Soccer: I am a Bayern Munich/German national team guy- partied with Müller once while in Munich, from what I remember it was fun

NASCAR: forget whether they turn left or right

NBA: Rockets. But I'll be honest, I lost a lot of my interest in them around the time they tried to make Ariza their star player. I really haven't been able to get back on the bandwagon full time since then (maybe this season will change that)

MLB: Astros. Why? Because they were a sure loss last season and I won big in Vegas with them. Thats why.

NFL. No team. Its been hard to get into NFL after the Houston Oilers left. I honestly did not see one NFL game this past season. Super bowl included. NFL died to me the same day Love Ya Blue tried to hold the city of Houston hostage with new stadium demands. (I still hate the fact that Harris county had to pay for part of the stadium after we got screwed by the NFL once already)

But make no mistake, I'm a college sports fan first. Pro second.

No - but my parents are from the KC metro area (well...exurban I guess) and extended family all over the place there.

Growing up, we were def. a KC sports household, except for Los Spurs, of course.
