Doing good work, beating Vandy and 18 wins for the lady Gators! Maybe UF will start turning the corner?

Are we in line for a tourney spot. Outside of a couple years ago, we don't make it that often

The big problem is the SEC east is brutal in WBB

Vols have history
Cocks have defense
Cats have offense
Vandy is usually respectable
Georgia has Landers and that draws water with the NCAA

It is not that the Gators are bad, but who can they knock out on a regular basis to take their place?

I like Butler, and no one can argue that she does not bring her fire to the team mantra, but is it enough to move up a level.

If we had been a fourth seed instead of a fifth seed...we wouldn't have had to play back to back games right away and we just don't have the depth right now. We have some good players...a little more depth and they wont let leads get away from them late in the game.

Big upset of Dayton.

Gets tougher now as they must play #3 Penn State @ Penn State

Would love to see the upset!

A LOT of players transferred last year including Sydney Moss, who's tearing it up at a DIII school. There were rumors of how she runs the guards ragged and has anger issues.

STILL...

She was a tough competitor in college and that extends to her coaching. Not like this is unknown so if you play for her you know what you are getting into. I have no problem with this as it is all already known.

You are dealing with teenagers in an age where teenagers have been coddled along the way. I watched Moss in high school and that does not always transfer to star status at the DI level. Perhaps she is tearing it up at the DIII level because that is closer to the average ball of high school. If DIII is as good as Moss gets then more power to her vs riding the pine at the DI level.

Being a guard at the DI level in the toughest conference in the USA is a whole different level than DIII status at a small private college in KY.

Cincinnati, Xavier, West Virginia, Kentucky and Louisville would have loved to have Moss, but Florida coach Amanda Butler would not grant a transfer to another Division I school, which would have made Moss eligible to play immediately. - If she thought the coaches at these schools would not yell at her - like perhaps Butler did - she would be in for a rude awakening.

The problem is the double edged sword of being a female coach. If you win, you are a lovable bitch, but if you lose you are just a bitch.
