I like the list, but I think J'Mar should be higher. Campbell will have the chance to go higher.

I think we should keep venturing out of state to sign QBs

The qbs that Mullen has gone after seem like decent players. Just a matter of whether he can actually get them to sign.

Agreed

In general, I definitely agree. I think this year is kinda an exception with J'Mar...

full disclosure: I forgot about WR Jaylen Smith and haven't had a chance to get back in and edit. I'll have to think about it but I'm thinking he's 25ish. I'll just bump down everyone else behind him.

My question with JMar is why aren't other schools offering???
Posted on 2/26/14 at 6:55 pm to Al Bundy Bulldog
I have no idea on that part. Has anyone confirmed that other schools actually aren't offering? I haven't seen any recent interviews or anything with him...

I've never seen him live but I have some meridian friends that say he isn't that impressive.

He's halfway through his JR year in highschool. Tools are there at least athletically(I don't know much about his arm strength so we will see on that one).
The fact that we don't seem to be seriously chasing any other QBs in the 2015 class gives me the impression that he's our guy -- Mullen's #1 choice. Dak is the only QB we have actually seen play for MSU that fits that bill. Staley basically will as well. Neither were great star guys with tons of offers -- but Dak has certainly worked out.
I feel good about Mullen's QB recruiting when we get "our guy". You can look around the country at a bunch of guys having success that were our first/second/third choices for QBs in basically every given class. We've certainly have had a mixed bag with the backup plans however.

Don't give me wrong, I want JMar to be the QB of this class based on upside but he never wows you live. Minshew is a better HS QB but he ins't near the prospect JMar is

This list looks like the top 42 to me, but whatever.
And, a question for those more in 'the know' than I am. What is so good about J'Mar Smith? I don't see the guy as anything more than filling a spot personally.

Trying to formulate a top 40 & forget about 2 guys that are clearly top 40 and there becomes a 3 way tie for 40th. Sources close to situation say this list will have 43 and a 4 way tie for 40th by tomorrow. Dude that did this list is clearly retarded.
