1.75 in the panhandle today. Although, I asked on the Political Talk board, but why does TX have the 86 Octane gas. Not that it's a huge deal, I just haven't seen it often.

I was wondering about that. I haven't seen it around the Texas Triangle (DFW-SA-HOU), but that 86 octane is everywhere in New Mexico. I thought most vehicles had a limit for 87 octane minimum???

I saw hit/miss in DFW, but wasn't sure about NM. The Panhandle has tons of stations that are 86, but the one near me starts at 87 is .03 cheaper

i'm totally clueless on that, but I haven't had issues...

Now that I think about it, I think I've seen at least one 86 octane gas station in Houston (in the ghetto....of course).

But I do remember seeing 86 all over NM. My initial thought was that it was only at Native American run gas stations, but then I saw the same thing at a 7-11 in Albuquerque. It is widespread in that state. California was a hit and miss on that lower octane gas on stock. Hopefully it doesn't damage engines, but I do know some cars have minimum limits of octane. Check your owners manual.

I've only seen 86 out west but I am usually in a company truck and filling up at fuelman stations and haven't seen it at any of them. The difference between 86 and 87 is probably negligible. I'd be more worried about how much ethanol is in it unless your driving a flex fuel vehicle.

Need some input on if this is to weird or not, I follow Toney Hurd Jr on Twitter and saw him post a picture today. I glanced at it and then a light bulb went off that I recognized the background. Well I have now figured out that it was from the same apartment complex that I live in. Was thinking of knocking on his door and saying what's up.

Totally weird. Don't knock on his door.

As a matter of fact, how do you you even know his room number? You can't figure that our from just looking at the background of a picture.

He took it from the balcony facing towards the pool, I can tell the floor he is on and that he is in the corner of the building from the pic.
