We consistently rank near the bottom if the conference. We rarely get guys that other teams battle for. We have 1 commit for 2015 and that's a guy we placed at JUCO 2 years ago. This isn't new, this is pretty much how Pinkel and co have always recruited.

How then is Pinkel able to win 10 games 4 times since '07. Be 8th in the nation in wins since '07. Be in the top 5 as far as first round picks since '07.

Our average recruiting rank in that time period is somewhere in the mid 30's. He absolutely should not be able to get the results on the field he does. How does he do it?

You guys benefited from Florida and Georgia being outrageously injured.

You'll return back to form and win seven games this season.

How did he do it the rest of the times? Even if you throw those two out it's still 10 wins. How did he do that? I don't get it.

You played in the East, which was/is at it's worst in recent memory.

He's no Bill Snyder, but he does have a knack for doing more with less.

I am shocked the Aggies missed out on a studly 2 star from their own backyard.

Pinkel turned him into a first team player of the year.

A&M has lost their gay.

You guys lost when you played the only two above-average teams on your schedule?

One of those two above-average teams shoved it down your throat (pun intended) to the tune of 500 rushing yards?

You guys are average. Plain and simple.

He's a good coach, and beats up on people he should, but loses to the big schools. See Bobby P at Arky. You have to recruit the big boys to win the SEC championship game.

We wouldn't lose to South Carolina, at least.

Agreed.

Also, he has won most of his games in the gauntlet that is the Big XII North (Iowa State and Kansas are in that division) and the SEC East (Kentucky and Tennessee are in that division.

Is it really less though? I'm pretty sure we are going to have the 3rd most combine participants in the SEC.

Maybe, just maybe...at least in Pinkel's case stars don't mean shite.
