Texas A&M writer Taylor Hamm thinks Alabama is more of a threat than FSU for Sheffield.

Cal is giving Oregon a game. Perhaps they pull off the upset.

Willie Allen told John Garcia that Bama still leads.

Jacques patrick told the scout writer that people will be surprised who he chooses (they see me trolling)

Brandon Kennedy not likely to take OVs elsewhere.

All of this from cbc podcast.

Alabama commit Deionte Thompson had a huge night on Friday, helping his Orange (Texas) West Orange-Stark team to a 54-21 win over Hamshire-Fannett (Texas). Thompson wanted to make a statement on his senior night and certainly did that, catching 6 balls for 235 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also added 5 tackles on defense. The East Texas standout scored on catches of 43, 68, 21, and 75 yards.

West Orange-Stark improves to 7-2 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Sour Lake (Texas) Hardin-Jefferson next week.

Thompson, who recently became a 247Sports Composite 5-star prospect, signed a financial aid agreement with Alabama in September. He was the first commitment in the Tide's 2015 class. The early enrollee plans to return to Tuscaloosa in November for the Tide's game against Mississippi State.

Add another 5-star to the list.

He deserves it too.

Alabama commit Minkah Fitzpatrick had a huge game against Union City (N.J.) on Saturday, exploding for five touchdowns in the first half. The five-star prospect scored on a 66 yard catch and run, had a 22-yard pick-six, and added a 34 yard touchdown catch in the first quarter. He scored on a 40 yard rush and had another 66 yard touchdown catch in the second quarter.

Fitzpatrick finished with 196 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns, 52 rushing yards (including the 40 yard TD) on 2 carries. He also recorded the pick-six, 6 tackles, and 2 pass breakups on defense.

St. Peter's Prep and Fitzpatrick defeated Union City 62-7 and improves to 6-1 on the season.

Fitzpatrick ranks as the no. 32 overall prospect, no. 4 cornerback, and no. 1 senior in the state of New Jersey, according to the 247Sports Composite. He committed to Alabama on April 19 and is expected to return to Tuscaloosa for a visit in November.

CeCe Jefferson had a great official visit to Alabama on October 18th when the Tide shutout Texas A&M 59-0

Jefferson & defensive end Byron Cowart are priority targets for Alabama

AlabamaINTEL had the opportunity to speak recently with CeCe Jefferson’s high school coach Tom MacPherson of Baker County High School in Glen St. Mary, Florida. Coach MacPherson really admires and has much respect for what Coach Saban has accomplished in his coaching career. The coach admitted if his star sought his input about his college destination, he would advise CeCe to go to Alabama but, respectfully, McPherson is being supportive of any decision Jefferson makes.

The following is a Q&A session with the Baker County Wildcats head coach & AlabamaINTEL:

How is CeCe’s shoulder coming along since his surgery?

“He is coming along great,” MacPherson said. “He is a kid who has Sunday-type talent, and I don’t think he would have had the surgery if he did not have such a bright future ahead of him. Without the surgery he could have finished out the season, but he made the smart business decision by having the surgery and getting healthy before college.”

How did CeCe tell you his visit went in Tuscaloosa this past weekend?

“Alabama rolled out the red carpet for CeCe, and he told me it was a great visit,” MacPherson detailed. “The experience of gameday in Tuscaloosa is one of the best he has ever seen. CeCe told me he was blown away by the whole weekend and come Sunday, he did not want to leave.

“The highlight for him was having breakfast at Coach Saban’s house and coach (Saban) letting CeCe drive him in the golf cart down to the lake. He really enjoyed that.”

What coaches on the Alabama staff has CeCe had the best relationship with during his recruiting process?

“Well, Lance Thompson is the main recruiter, so I would say CeCe seems to talk to him the most.” MacPherson revealed. “CeCe loves coach Saban. He tells me about Saban away from football. CeCe says he is a very down to earth and funny guy that loves his players and treats them like they are his own kids.”

How do you see CeCe fitting into Alabama’s defense position-wise?

“They are recruiting him at Jack Linebacker, which I think is his natural position.” the coach explained “CeCe is so fast and athletic he could sign with Alabama and make an immediate impact.

“CeCe is a very smart football player and I think Coach Saban and Kirby (Smart) see that in CeCe.”

Where does Alabama stand with CeCe thus far in his recruiting?

“I think in January it was Alabama and Florida neck and neck. Now with what is going on at Florida and Ole Miss making their way into the conversation, it is now a three-team race in my eyes.” McPherson admitted. “With CeCe only living 45 minutes from Gainesville, there is definitely some added pressure for him to stay home and go to school at Florida. But CeCe knows that he has to make a business decision for himself. He is smart enough to choose the school that will give him the best opportunity to play Sunday football.

“CeCe knows Alabama’s track record with getting players to the NFL and I think that has a big impact on his decision.”

There has been a lot of talk about CeCe and Byron Cowart attending the same school. Do you see that being a realistic possibility?

“CeCe has mentioned that to me a few times and I definitely see some truth in that.” the coach stated. “I also think that the school would have to be a great fit for both of them. They will both make the smart decision for their futures.”

****Note: CeCe Jefferson is out for the remainder of the season with a torn labrum that he recently had surgery on. He is wildly considered a top 10-20 national recruit & a top-5 prospect in the talent-laden state of Florida.

Who is Patrick going to pick today and if we miss on him are we after another RB besides the longshot of Harris or are we sticking with Flowers?

TIA
