Revisiting again using 2014-2015 members: (italics means that the team was not a member of its conference at that time)

Feels awkward taking credit for this... 2008 Tennessee is the real answer

Vince Young's knee was down on the 4th down pitch. Replay would have overturned it and given USC the game.

In all seriousness, good catch. I forgot.

Why are you not listing the Big East for Basketball? I know there titles were in the 80's but they have 2 Nova and Georgetown. They also have Butler who played in finals twice recently.

It's amazing that 3 / 4 of the ACC's recent titles are all expansions that didn't win it while in the ACC. I know basketball isn't too far back (Duke a couple years ago right) but I still can't believe that they haven't won a baseball title in 50 years. As good as FSU and Clemson are historically and as good as UNC has been since the turn of the century it is surprising that no one has been able to grab a title since then. Hell Miami has a historical program but haven't done much since joining the conference. Perhaps UVA can grab it this year?

Texas also won the College World Series in 2005 against Florida.

quote:

Vince Young's knee was down on the 4th down pitch. Replay would have overturned it and given USC the game.

It was FIRST down from the 22-yard line.

Vince Young gained 12 yards for another first down before pitching to Selvin Young, who scurried 10 more yards for a TD.

Therefore, if overturned, it would have been placed at the 10 yard line, first down Texas.

Hardly "giving USC the game."

Besides Connecticut, the only "Big East" schools that have won basketball titles are:

Villanova (1985)
Georgetown (1984)
Marquette (1977)
Cincinnati (1961-1962)

Only Cincinnati and Connecticut are schools that play FBS football who also won basketball titles while members of the Big East.

Let me guess, you were elected to lead, not to read. From the OP:

Well that's a stupid way of doing it.

It's crazy to think that a team like Oregon St has 4 CWS appearances and 2 titles, meanwhile FSU has 20+ and 0 titles.
