You kids today are just soft. When I was young I used to have to walk through 12 inches of snow uphill both ways to get to school.

School up here in NE Alabama has been delayed 7 times in the last 3 weeks because it is cold. WTF is that shite? We didn't even have central heat when I went to school and had to wear our heavy coats in the classroom when it was cold. We never had school delayed.

I remember in the old days of elementary school, they wouldn't cancel it till it actually snowed. You'd wake up and watch the news praying for your school's name to pop up on the closed list.

I'm going to laugh when we don't get snow. I also find it funny that I wore short sleeves to class today and it's supposed to snow tomorrow.

I remember this very well. I'd get up at 6am if it were supposed to snow and just watch out the window and the local news.

All out of people looking for somebody to sue if they wreck on the icy road.

I'll still be waking my arse up and going to work.

Damn kids these days and their hip-hop music.

Transit buses on wet roads almost translates into lawsuits. Those tires slip and slide like I've never seen before. No tread whatsoever.

Transit Buses in sunny 70 degree weather translates into lawsuits. They have some crazy arse drivers occasionally. One driver came within inches of plowing into a dude on the crosswalk. Everyone on the bus gasped but the driver didn't even react.

ETA: Damn it Crazy.

i remember in 3rd grade it snowed a little one day, and every school in the city was cancelled. we got a call from the principal, and i was so happy because i was sure he was calling to cancel school that day

he simply said, "the weather outside is frightful, but school is so delightful. see you at school today!"

i was crushed.
