I would somewhat understand if the kid chose Alabama, Auburn, etc. But we just lost a kid from Macon, GA to UCLA. This one hurts

I mean, I can't say we really dropped the ball. Our staff went really, really hard after Smith and he just wanted to go elsewhere. It sucks and ILB is a huge area of concern now (which really sucks in a 3-4 defense), but in the end you and I have no control over what these kids do so there's no reason to get all bent out of shape.

Personally, I would rather go to UCLA. Spent a summer out there, OMG. From a wtf perspective, I thought he was a dawg. Guess that is why Richt wasn't too excited about things to come later today.
