I'm just ready to see JJ run this team. Sean is too far down the line for me. I think JJ is gonna be special.

I think Sean is gonna beat JJ out.

baring injury, 2017 is the earliest SW starts a game.

You don't think there wil lbe a QB battle this time next year between JJ and SW?

Well you're no daisy at all.

My hope is that JJ gets a ton of mop-up duty this year, and we go into 2015 with the QB position completely set. I want to see what he does leading this team.

I think there will be a battle every year with the QB talent coming in. As it should be and will keep them sharp, and working hard to improve.

JJ's playing time this year will obviously dictate if there is a battle or not, of course.
If he still only comes in for scripted throws like this past season then, I don't see him having enough of a lead over SW to not have a true competition.
JJ will have two years under his belt learning and SW will have one so the advantage will be there for JJ.

Sean White and Tyler Queen are why I wasn't concerned with burning JJ's redshirt.

Disagree.

2013 - Marshall (Jr.)
2014 - Marshall (Sr.)
2015- Johnson (Jr.)
2016 - Johnson (Sr.)
2017- White (Jr.)
I think both JJ and SW are going to do some damage in this offense provided they have the WR talent as neither is going thrive using the read option often.
I just don't see JJ getting beat out early given his experience and talent level. He almost won the starting QB slot this past year as freshman.
This progression allows for the starting QB to come in as junior starting with Nick. Can't teach experience and maturity.

That is a good plan but I would like to see multiple years of the same QB. We have not had that since Brandon Cox started 3 straight years.

Unless you just really like the guy I don't see the point. Especially when there's talent ahead and behind him in the lineup.
If JJ was a true "backup" ie Trotter or Moseley, 2-3 star QBs, I'd be all for SW getting in early.
