Explain to me why we sign him if he won't qualify. That doesn't make sense to me. All it does is take away a spot.

I really don't understand it.

I asked about the GED thing and it hasn't been answered yet. You're right though, that doesn't make sense but in his OP he said sign and place.

When I find out I'll post it here.

No sign and place, he just signed with Co-Lin.

That being said, we sign guys all the time that don't qualify. It's just for protection.

My assumption from reading the threads are that dropping out of HS, getting GED, and enrolling early in JUCO will benefit them because they will get to sign in next years class and be at State in 2016.

So, the 2016 class is basically going to be the Fireman17s of the 2015 class?

We just give them stamps with their name instead of pens for the paper work.

Is this guy now a take? Or is he just coming with Manny?

Hope so. He basically shut down AJ Brown of Starkville. I think he's underrated.

Paul just gave us better than a 50/50 in his "odds are" that we sign Leo. Also better than 50/50 that we sign Campbell, and better than 50/50 that Pierce is here in January.

Interesting that all our recruiting guys seem so confident about Leo. The last month or so he has done everything to point him toward Ole Miss in my mind. If he does sign with us, he has been playing the hell out of Ole Miss, I just am not naive enough to believe that. Hope I'm wrong though.

I really like Kitchens. I think his game is comparable to Senquez Golson. Both are undersized but have good straight line speed. I think Kitchens is listed at 5'10' but is probably closer to 5'8'. I'm really not sure why more schools aren't after him as he has been every bit as good as any other SP player and is a multiple year starter. Grades could be an issue I guess, you never know about SP guys.

AJ Brown & Raphael Leonard both had over 100 yards and a touchdown each in that game.

Yeah I don't know where he was getting that from. I was at that game and they were both in beast mode.

Pretty sure he held his ground against Brown well. I know South Panola's other CB got hurt that game and they really started picking on the backup with both Leonard and Brown.

Too small IMO.

If you are going to be small, you have to be elite. Smitherman is close enough that he's worth taking at his size, but I haven't seen anything from Kitchens to make me believe that he is.

Why do we need to take a 3rd(or 4th depending on a couple of our athletes) corner in this class? We've got:
Sr - Redmond, Calhoun
Jr - Cleveland, Jiles(until he gets his medical 6th yr)
So - Irvin-Sills(Durr will be joining this class)
rFr - Rayford
incoming - Stamps, Smitherman

We just don't want him. He's just got size. And that's it. He's weak.

Not so sure about the "weak". I think he is just really raw and doesn't play with bend, leverage and hand placement. If he is taken he is definitely a RS to work on the fundamentals.
