It's not going to do any good unless they figure out how to stop the HUNH, which will be difficult because Auburn's offense will likely be structured completely different next year in terms of concept and identity.

Yea but LSU knows how. Going to be an interesting season for sure. So long as you play against a D with speed you will have some issues.

Well it'll also be interesting to see how we do against LSU without the rain.

Another one of these threads where we mock Alabama for doing something literally every football team in America does from High school to the NFL.

If that was true then should they try to get back to doing what they always did? So they could get what they always got?

That isn't a saying for teams that have won 3 of the last 5 championships.

I for one respect it. Reminds me when Urbz posted up 144 or whatever Knowshon rushed for when UGA beat them in 2007 and they used that motivation to crush Georgia in 2008. I hope UGA does something similar with all the shite that happened in 2013 with the phrase "NEVER AGAIN"

Hopefully Kirby brings that shite to athens

Actually it is perfect for this example. The quote shows what complacency can do to a team.

It may be a little gimmicky, but college sports are incredibly driven by emotion. Reminding your players what happens when maybe you got complacent or didn't work quite as hard as you could have is always a good motivation. For the next class coming in, it also shows that they aren't afraid to own up to shortcomings and try to correct it (in theory).

Although, it's much more fun when the opposition gives you easy bulletin board material instead of having to create it yourself. God Bless Derek Dooley. He always beat the shite out of Vanderbilt...oh wait.

Exactly. Some games can be won or lost in the offseason because of how a team physically and mentally prepares for the season. If you are lackadaisical in the offseason it can most certainly come back to bite you arse some time in the season.
