We have improved over alot of positions, but qb is the same guys. While worley settled in last year and looked to improve as the year went on, he just doesny bring the "it" factor. Dobbs was mediocre at best, and i heard ferguson was the future. So i hope behind the scenes that the coaches knew what they were doing and fergnasty comes out this year ala cam newton and lights the sec on fire!

I'm hoping Ferg comes in and kills it, but I'm not going to meltdown if he doesn't. Also haven't written off Dobbs yet. He looked like a true freshmen with minimal time to pick up the playbook some of the time, but he looked really good at times as well. I'm optimistic he comes back after another year of S&C and a year with the playbook and shows why Butch was so high on him.

The WR & TE corp should be able to help out who ever gets the nod dramatically compared to what we had to work with last year too

Hell yes I hope he kills it this year. But agree with TRUE, I haven't written off Dobbs yet. I think Dobbs can be a good one. He was playing hurt as a true freshman, I think he'll be alright. The competition between Ferg and Dobbs will make them both better.

As for Worley and Peterman, no hope for those two imo. If either start next year, it will be a long, terrible year.

I've got my fingers crossed that either Ferg or Dobbs really shows out and takes the reins for the next few years. We have weapons galore starting this year on offense and the only thing that can hold us back is shitty quarterback play.

Worley is tough and we shouldn't hate on him but this offense is severely limited with him at QB. I'm praying that one of the young guys step up because if it's close in the fall, I'd bet that Butch starts Worley. At least for the first few games.

Worley did a good job passing the ball, but he was never a threat to run the ball...so the zone/read is wasted on him.

I think Ferguson is going to have to kill it starting yesterday to beat out Dobbs and Worley for the starting spot going into the Utah St. game. it's going to be tough to play a guy with no starting experience over 2 guys that both have in game reps unless he blows it out of the water. That being said, I'd be fine with him being able to do that, him or Dobbs. Worley seems like a good guy, but he doesnt bring the read option threat to the offense like its designed for and he doesn't have a cannon to sit back an sling it to make up for the lack of the run threat. Hard situation. Cant wait for The spring game to get here and see what they look like with a full year of S&C and a uear with the scheme.

Fox Sports has Fergy as one of the Top 10 breakout RS freshmen in the country this year. Article said he was taking in 6000 calories a day to put on the weight. Rucker said he definitely passes the eye test for gaining 10-15+ lbs since he got on campus

Worley is alright on crossing routes and anything 15 yards or less. The thing is, UT now has 3 potentially bonafide studs at WR now and we have to be able to throw the ball vertically to those guys and Worley just can't do that. Not to mention Butch has to scrap half of the playbook with Worley in the game. A HUNH read-option based spread attack is pointless when you don't have the right QB to run it.

Our team will be better regardless of who is the QB, too much talent coming in not to.
