You've probably already assumed, correctly, that SCAR is one of the three.

Who are the other two?

Three teams finished in the Top 10 the past three seasons ... something that is evidently fairly difficult to do for three consecutive seasons.

How many more of these type threads can we string together this offseason?

Already had the 11 win season one and now this.

As many as we want. Live it up now. You don't know if and when we will have a season this good again for a whole.

Seriously man. Do you know out history. Why shouldn't we be proud of what our team has done?

I'd rather have our last four years over your last four years.

We're just happy for our team man. Seasons over. Let it go.

I'll tell you what's hard to do. Finish in the top 10 three years in a row and have ZERO bcs bowl appearances.

Hard to do that three years in a row and still not make it to Atlanta, what a feat!

To some SEC fans, some mind you - not all, but some that see themselves as blue bloods or old money ... SCAR is new money. SCAR is the Beverly Hillbillies, The Unsinkable Molly Brown and the mega lotto winner from the wrong side of the tracks all rolled-up into one.

We're resented by some, appreciated by others, a conundrum to others and so-on and so-forth.

We're the true epitome of the proverbial sleeping giant - even though we're really not awake yet.

Those who resent our recent success, and those who are jealous (often two different types of fans all-together and rarely the same), cannot understand how or why we've managed to bring in Lou Holtz followed by Steve Spurrier ... but they are sure, (and/or praying), that we'll not follow with another good hire because that is their rationing, their justification for something they cannot explain ... it has to be the coaches.

And it is, to some degree at least.

Nevertheless, we're happy to be doing some things that raises the bar for the future of our program. Gives us something to recruit with. Add to the overall respectability of our Athletic Department and, most importantly, rewards some of us long time die hard fans who have suffered, in the past, like no other fan base in the country, much less in the vaunted SEC.

We are, therefore, probably the SEC's proudest members ... proud to be a part of this conference. And, at the same time, we're also the most appreciative while, at the same time, its most driven.

Different fans from different fan bases, both within and without the conference, are going to react to us and our expression of recent success in different ways. We're certainly not braggarts or boastful or disrespectful to the so-called "Big 6," but we are knocking on the door and letting it be known that we want in ... shouldn't be anything wrong with that and next season should afford us the opportunity to pay the final entry fee for membership ... a Championship.

Nossir ... not Connor Shaw. But we are returning Dylan Thompson who has a ton of experience and is a Senior, plus we've recruited well and had a chance to redshirt a couple of fine QBs behind Dylan.

Dylan's won some big games for us and he's always been solid, probably would have started for a number of other programs in and around the conference. But 2014 will be all his IMHO.

We lose some players, but we've recruited well pretty-much everywhere and we're going to be a good football team again next year.

Remember, we were the youngest football team in the country this past season.

But that's not what this thread was supposed to be about. This thread is about three teams finishing in the Top Ten for the past three consecutive seasons ... and I was going to get to it eventually I suppose, but only one of them returns so many after being so young this past season.

So, we can put you in the resentful category ... full of butthurt.

I dunno why because the great majority of LSU fans are the classiest around here - most appreciate what we are trying to do. And our fans are not really "shite talkers" on this board ... maybe with the exception of one or perhaps two ... but each fan base has one or two.

Why you so mad LNCHNOX?
