Saban could care less about his players once they go to the nfl. He has no use for them anymore. It's why he constantly runs his players into the ground. I think it has something to do with the recent Alabama players not performing as well at the next level.

LSU had 6 they convinced to come back in 2012 for their fourth year too. Five of the six went in the third round in 2013 draft.
I don't know any Bama players coming back for their fifth year and only McCarron came back for his fifth last year. We had Loston and Barrow (who could've went in the fourth).
