Can some one give me a TL;DR explanation of Coker?

Somehow I guess I just missed out on threads and stories leading up to this... but why are are we psyched about the prospect of FSU's backup QB?
What's the deal? Is he a superstar injured before camp last year, the heir apparent desiring more PT or a guy in the wrong system?
Yes, I have not been paying attention to recruiting as much as previous year, just check every now and then to make sure we have a good # of 4 and 5 stars.

Big arm, very athletic, went to same HS as AJ, will graduate and be able to play next season, has two years of eligibility left, we don't know if he has the intangibles, but we don't know if ANY of our options have those, but he is the best physically.

Tried to right before NSD, too little too late. Shut down his recruitment after he committed. Was FSU's top target and was more comfortable with them than Bama's staff. Running the option probably dampened his recruitment a good bit.
There was very little effort put into the 2011 QB recruiting, they were banking on McCarron/Sims.
Coker is the competition the team needs, starter or not. The more the merrier. Assure the best possibly option is under center...

Basically, everyone is happy to get Coker, because the rest of the QBs on Bama's roster sucks.

He is not on the roster yet. He will be good, but not until 15 or 16. Bama needs Coker for 14.

He is the backup to a the youngest Heisman trophy winner that won by the 3rd largest margin in CFB history
He was battling Jameis Winston all spring for the starting job if that tells you anything
