It appears that Jeremy Foley is telling Muschump he can't hire Lane Kiffin as OC. So far Clay Helton and Mike Norvell played the UF card for big raises to stay at UCLA and Az. State, and Blake Anderson used UF to get a better offer to become HC at Arky State.
Looks like Tim Beck, who is laying an egg at Nebraska, will be the next best choice to join Muschump as he goes down the toilet after another dismal season in 2014.
Meanwhile Kerwin Bell is comfy at Jacksonville University and just waiting for mamma Florida to call him home.

If I was an OC in college football, I would pretty much copy Malzahn's or Oregon's offense and sell it at a school like Florida where you can recruit the OL and skill players required. It's basically just 4 read/option formations with the QB reading the defense to determine who should get the ball. The key is the OL and supporting RB blocking at the point of attack.

It's just a variation of the Veer of the 70s. That was "unstoppable" until virtually every good DC figured how to stop it. Spurriers offense was "unstoppable" but only for a while. It is only average now. Oregon is "unstoppable" but they can't even win their conference except in a fluke season.
The Malzahn offense will go the same way soon enough. Then he can be the next Ga Tech HC.

That's probably true but I would rather rely more on the rushing attack in Auburn's offense vs the air attack utilized in Brile's offense. As the saying goes: 3 things can happen when you pass the ball 2 of them are negatives. It's not that a hand-off or pitch can't be fumbled it can but TO's are definitely more likely when passing. The other thing I like about Malzahn's offense is while the read-option is their staple, when they do pass it's usually unexpected and effective.

Not to be a dick here, dave, but Baylor does like running the ball...

They have one of the best RBs in the game in fact. It isn't all pass happy. It's actually really damned balanced

They just put up 221 rushing on Texas to secure their fiesta bowl berth.

I'd rather run the Baylor offense over the Gus offense any day. Not to mention Baylor utilized the read option as well, they just aren't completely reliant on it.

ETA: to further prove that Baylor isn't just a pass offense they actually ranked 12th in rushing with 265 yds a game.

I doubt Briles would want to be offered the Gator OC job.

Oh no, I was just saying that Baylor doesn't run a pass intensive offense
