Payne to AU!

That'll be an interesting battle.

ETA: Tyler Carr @ 22.. I can't remember the last time a highly recruited guy came out of Southside.

Also, it seems Rivals likes AL guys better than 247 next year. So are we all going to jump on the Rivals bandwagon?

I was surprised both Payne and Carr were that high. How do you guys feel about your chances with them?

Michigan is killing it. I'm Happy to have 1 in the top 100 and lead for a few of the others

Telling you right now he is anything but a UGA lock. Ya'll definitely lead but his recruitment is far from over.

Sarc, are ya'll not showing any love to Darrell Williams from HOover #27? That is the impression he gave to people on his visit to AU for the IB

I honestly don't know much about Carr except 247 projecting him to AU. Payne on the other hand, grew up an AU fan, but seemed to cool on AU earlier in the year. I haven't heard much on him, but I'd imagine AU's recent success couldn't hurt. I like AU's chances.

There is no such thing as a lock, so i definitely agree.

I haven't really heard anything about us recruiting him. I see that he did attend a couple games. Could be he's too small for LB in our system.

Yeah, our side seemed very confident with Payne a couple months ago but haven't heard much on him lately.

Carr to Auburn most likely. Payne grew up an Auburn fan but he has a lot of pressure from those around him to go to Alabama.

No one is a lock but it would be a pretty big upset for anyone else to get him if Richt is still the coach

He was higher on AU after a junior day type visit this summer and he wanted to meet with Gus but some weird logistics/lack of communication caused that meeting not to happen Don't think he was happy about that as you can imagine

If UGA doesn't have a good year and Auburn does real well again, it will start to get interesting. He lives closer to AU, loves our staff and AU and his mom likes Garner. UGA definitely leads and is theirs to lose but some shitty things can happen for ya'll

Seems consistent from what he is saying on his visits. I would love to have him at AU but if UA offers, he is definitely yours. It is like a Roc Thomas situation 4 months ago. Only difference is AU isn't losing Thomas now after this year

And some shitty things can happen to AU. We'll see how it plays out. Right now UGA leads but things change.

We're pretty well-represented.

Town, Flowers, Mekhi Brown, Deonte Thompson, and BOL has given the impression over the past year that Payne is Bama's to lose.
