Noticed this today on the 64 yard FG by Matt Prater. I think its safe to say that the Iron Bowl brought new awareness to the term "fanning out" to cover a long attempt.

Watch the Broncos OL as soon as they are sure Prater has kicked the ball...

Pretty sure NFL teams have done this long before the Iron Bowl.

Safe to say I don't think any team will lose like Bama did ever again after that.

As for safeties colliding on a 4th and forever I think we will see that one day

That's nuts. The 64 yard field goal.

Glad to see Gus is influencing the NFL though

I used to break down film for a living. It hasn't been a huge point of emphasis in the past. Sure, it was taught and executed, however I have not seen a team be so fast at doing it as I saw today.

No they started doing that after Odell Beckham returned a short FG 109 yds against UAB earlier this season... Nice try.

Saban should have covered it better considering LSU did it earlier in the year.

No, no; he's right. I shall hang my head in shame and never show my face again. How could I have not known that is was the FG return against UAB that changed the face of FG coverage across the nation.

I literally was thinking the same thing when he was about to kick it.

There will definitely be a new emphasis on it.

I love how LSU always make sure to note that Beckham did it first this year. No one cares

I like all the LSU guys and have a few friends that are LSU die hards. But to think that most people recognize the Beckham FG return over the exposure that the Auburn return received is pretty ludicrous.

All that proves is that while he was off John Fox watched the Iron Bowl.
