I'm glad we, at some point will have a normal offense & defense.

This shite show I'm watching is laughable. The score indicates a backyard pick up game of make it take it.

No way will an SEC team win the national title this year. These two teams are a shite show IMO.

FSU, tOSU play a little defense...

So, you're a Gus lover? Or you admire Pinkel at Mizzou?

No program in the NCAA has been able to maintain itself with a hurry up gimmick offense.

I don't want one year, I want a program that maintains.

I think Bert will do all right. But to be honest, the only thing I can think while watching this game is I wish we would have hired Gus. Lynch me if you must.

I think we should support our instate talent instead of always looking outward. We have Bert now. So, it really doesn't matter. Time will tell. One year does not make a career.

Why would I lynch you over differing opinions?

I'll argue, but not lynch you.

It's simple to look around the nation at programs who are winning conference titles and national titles and seeing what they run.

It isn't a hurry up offense.

I just wish people would realize that GM is not an Arkansan anymore. He is very much the enemy of any razorback fan.

He recruits against us
He takes players who are kicked off other teams, Newton, Dyer, Mason...
He lies like a junkyard dog...
He is very much the enemy of the Razorbacks in every way possible.

Now, lets see if that gets a discussion going.

It's the truth.

Gus isn't an Arky any longer. Just as Tim Horton and Kodi Burns are not.

I felt like the hire was a homerun when it was announced, and I think Bert will do ok over time. However, you can't argue with results and Gus does nothing but win and I can't help but think we could have had him if we had wanted him. Tough watching the ex struttin around town...

Malzahn has been successful everywhere he's went. He brought us an offense in '06 that was able to fully utilize our stable of RBs and get us to the SECCG. In my opinion, Auburn doesn't win their championship in 2010 without him.

Even his short stint at stAte was very impressive.

Now he takes over Auburn, the worst team in the SEC last year, and wins the conference in his first year? That's not something you can pull off without being an excellent coach, regardless of your coaching style or talent level.

I don't even think his system is very gimmicky. It's actually extremely simple, and is capable of being executed without extraordinary talent. Nick Marshall is a mediocre QB at best, but Malzahn has made him look like Mike Vick. His RBs always look good because defenses can never key in on them.

Gus has never proven to maintain a program.

He had one HC gig at stAte and now at Auburn. Being a head coach is more than being a splash in one year.

See Nutt at Ole Miss.

Fair enough. Maybe his offense won't work out long-term, but I just haven't seen anything to make me believe it won't. He seems to adapt from year to year to match the talent he has to work with and what defense are doing.

As I have said a hundred times. Gus started putting this team together when he was OC. It is built for his system, and has pretty good talent.

Give Bert the same circumstances and we aren't 3-8 this year.

People who don't see that are idiots.

I'll take Bert all day erry day

That's because Gus has never been somewhere long enough to find out.

Sustaining a program is more than offense.

How will he graduate players? How much trouble will his players be? How will he recruit each season? How will he get along with big money boosters? Among others

The only thing with Gus you had to go on this time last year is one year at stAte and no proof of building, nor sustaining a program.

Ok, well Bert has never had to build a program.

We can play the counter-factual game all day.
