What if Shaw redshirted in 2010?

I love Spurrier more than anyone, but he has delivered some head scratching decisions when it comes to taking redshirts off players. Can y'all imagine if we had him coming back next year? That should have been the case if we didn't use him in both Auburn games that year. I know Garcia had two fumbles at Auburn that game, but he was pretty lights out that first half. If Spurrier would've just been patient and saw the bigger picture, we would have Shaw back next year as a heisman candidate.

Going into 2010 I honestly thought that Shaw was going to take over halfway through the season. He came in early and got to go through spring practice.
He still could have gotten a redshirt after the Auburn because that was the 4th game of the year iirc. So it was a little weird to see Shaw go in a only play mop up duty the rest of the year, but he was basically the only QB we had besides Garcia that Spurrier trusted to play, so if something happened to Garcia where Shaw needed to go in and play then I guess Spurrier wanted him to have some experience.
