LSU fans - you guys have had a lot of practice in this area. How do you cope with losing?
Seriously, only losing an average of 1 game a year for the last 3 has left me without coping mechanisms. Considering LSU managed that number just this year alone, obviously you've developed some strategies that can assist.
I presume bourbon is high on the list. Anything else?
I suppose I could change all instances of words ending in the letter "o" to "eaux" in the work memos, but honestly I don't think that would work really well here in Virginia.
I suppose I could TRY to find another team with the same mascot and cling to THEIR wins like somehow they were ours. Who would you suggest though, as there is no other "Tide" out there?
Should I advise Auburn to send thank you letters to Chattanooga for wearing us down? If Missouri beats Auburn in the SECCG, should I print the shirt "We wore 'em down"?
Nah, it's okay. I pulled out some videos of the Shula years. I'm good now.

We usually have baseball season to look forward to. Now we look forward to basketball as well.
It's fun cheering for a well-rounded athletic program

How do you cope with losing?

Oh, and to answer your question, I follow as many college kid kickers I can on twitter.

You could try drinking bleech or playing on the interstate. Any way will do. OR you could just go F*%k yourself!

Obviously you jest but I'll throw in a couple of coping mechanisms I myself use.
1. LSU football began in the 1800's. It will continue regardless of the season's results.
2. Louisiana doesn't suck. We have culture here.
3. Pro team.
4. We don't live vicariously thru 18-21 year olds playing football.
5. Basically most of us are well adjusted, normal adults.
6. etc, etc, etc

Even Robert Gibbs would be proud of that deflection.

True - but hey, based on the Rant, I predict if AU ever decides a "Keep Gus" fund, you'll be seeing a LOT of donations originating from the Baton Rouge region.
