In the pre-season, ESPN compiled a list of the top 25 players in the SEC for 2013. The list was as follows:

No. 1: J. Clowney, DE, South Carolina, Jr
•No. 2: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M, So.
•No. 3: Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia, So.
•No. 4: AJ McCarron, QB, Alabama, Sr.
•No. 5: Aaron Murray, QB, Georgia, Sr.
•No. 6: Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M, Sr.
•No. 7: Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama, So.
•No. 8: C.J. Mosley, LB, Alabama, Sr.
•No. 9: Anthony Johnson, DT, LSU, Jr.
•No. 10: Cyrus Kouandjio, OT, Alabama, Jr.
•No. 11: T.J. Yeldon, RB, Alabama, So.
•No. 12: Antonio Richardson, OT, Tennessee, Jr.
•No. 13: Loucheiz Purifoy, CB, Florida, Jr.
•No. 14: Jordan Matthews, WR, Vanderbilt, Sr.
•No. 15: Donte Moncrief, WR, Ole Miss, Jr.
•No. 16: Dominique Easley, DT, Florida, Sr.
•No. 17: Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M, RSo.
•No. 18: Gabe Jackson, OG, Mississippi State, Sr.
•No. 19: Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, S, Alabama, Jr.
•No. 20: Chris Smith, DE, Arkansas, Sr.
•No. 21: Jordan Jenkins, OLB, Georgia, So.
•No. 22: Craig Loston, S, LSU, Sr.
•No. 23: Andre Hal, CB, Vanderbilt, Sr.
•No. 24: Keith Marshall, RB, Georgia, So.
•No. 25: Marcus Roberson, CB, Florida, Jr.

Now that we have gone through the season, who should have been left off the list? Who needs to be added? Who would you rate as the top player for 2013?

The best part about the list is that it doesn't list one player from either Missouri or Auburn.

I think Mett, Beckham, and Landry would be the LSU players. #6heismans did not have enough attempts to qualify. I would remove Loston, Johnson, and Cooper to make that work. Coop was too hurt this year. Still a monster, just not a top 25 player this season.

I'd also remove Easley and add J. Hill.

Tre Mason needs to be added

Drop Manziel and Clowney down the list a few spots

Murray and McCarron move up

Cooper moves down

Mosley moves up

Yeldon moves down

Mike Evans moves up

Keith Marshall off the list

Mettenberger needs to be added to the top 15.

Add Tre Mason and probably Greg Robinson. Maybe Dee Ford as well.

Connor Shaw and Mike Davis in, for sure. Probably Kelcy Quarles, too.

Same with James Franklin and Michael Sam for Mizzou.

Shaw should be in the Top 25, he only threw 1 INT all year and Pain can't stop him.

Mike Davis should be in the Top 25, he's the 2nd best RB, period. Tre Mason is #1.

Kelcy Quarles should be in the Top 25. He has the most Sacks and TFL's for any DT, and he's overall 2nd in the conference for those stats.

Clowney, Cooper, Johnson, Yeldon, Loston, Marshall all too high

Greg Robinson and Tre Mason should have been there. Not sure which Missou players should be on there. Landry and OBJ are both top 10 players.

Greg Robinson LT Auburn should be the 2nd highest rated LT behind Matthews. Dee Ford and Tre Mason also need to be in the top 25 somewhere.

I'd drop McCarron out of it completely. There were about 5 or 6 guys on his own team that were better. I'd add that Mizzou linebacker in the top 10, for sure as well.

Tre Mason is certainly missing. I would put Sammie Coates on as well from AU. Nick Marshall isnt the best QB in the class, but he is the most valuable player.

Gabe Jackson too low. At least three lineman of the week awards and first rounder.

From a biased LSU point of view, I think Beckham, Landry, Hill and Mett deserve to be on the list.

I know that Moncrief had more yards, but I think I would put Treadwell on the list before him. He was a great possession guy for Ole Miss and as a Freshman, that was an impressive season he put up. Just a thought.
